Space Adventures: Search for the Blood Chrysanthemum.
Many years ago, the Chrysanthemum Kingdom was forcibly annexed by the Alteran Empire. The small kingdom, numbering only 8 star systems, was assaulted and subsequently conquered after 6 short years of savage war. In the closing stages of the war, the royal family, desperate to keep their legacy and knowledge of their people alive, decided to construct the most advanced spacecraft ever devised, codenamed Blood Chrysanthemum. Evading the Alteran blockade and aided by a mere handful of RN warships, the Blood Chrysanthemum escaped and was never seen again. The Alterans never knew what the cargo was, nor would anyone tell them. Frustrated, the Alteran Empire began what was to be known by all as the “Search for the Blood Chrysanthemum” which lasts to this day.

-GLOSSARY.

The Chrysanthemum Royal Family- The rulers of the Chrysanthemum Kingdom until its fall. Although they have little power in government, their views are strong enough to sway public opinion. King Paladin VI along with Queen Alyssa was the last to rule before the Alterans invaded. Their children were Crown Prince Jacob, Prince Alexander, Princess Mia, and Princess Kai. There were also numerous cousins’ extended families but all records of their existence were erased. Alteran shock troops killed all members of the family except Prince Alexander and Princess Mia (Prince Alexander was killed in battle 2 years before the final battle and Princess Mia was nowhere to be found when shock troops entered the royal palace).

Alteran Empire- An Empire born from treachery and forged by hardship. It is the largest known power in the Galaxy and continues to grow. They have swallowed countless independent nations and crushed opposition swiftly and mercilessly. Their Imperial Army numbers by the hundreds of billions and its Navy projects its might through a show of power while the Inquisition keeps an iron hand in its people’s lives, suspecting everyone of heresy and if they do find one, they shall make them disappear. (Alteran pronounced AL-TERRAN)

Neutral Sectors- Regions of space that the Alteran Empire has no authority whatsoever. In these sectors, free trade flourishes and black market deals are made without second thought. However, the threat of invasion by the Alterans is a constant worry to many.

Independent States Alliance (I.S.A.)- The Independent States Alliance is a coalition of independent nations that have banded together to defend themselves from the Alteran Empire. Their combined military forces such as the ISA Army, ISMC (Marine Corp), ISAF (Air Force) and the ISAN (Navy) are enough discourage the Alterans from making a frontal assault on any ISA holding. Interesting enough, the ISA was formed in the aftermath of the Flower Wars and since then there has been no conflict.

The All Under Heaven- Originally the Halcyon-class cruiser named HMS All Under Heaven (CCSG-212) of the Chrysanthemum Kingdom’s Royal Navy, the All Under Heaven is now 103 year-old ship that was been salvaged, refitted to modern standards and now serves as a armed cargo runner. It is 1.17 kilometers long and propelled by 2 main engines and 4 maneuver engines; all powered by 4 large, outdated Fukuyama-Anderson Mark V fusion reactors. It has 2 beam cannons on its sides, 6 gun turrets in hidden hull compartments, 10 missile launcher pods, and one MAC gun, with 40 strategically placed anti-fighter flak batteries, also in concealed hull compartments. The interior of the warship is honeycombed with hull braces, reinforced bulkheads, armored windows, making this ship able to take tremendous amount of damage. Crew quarters are small but comfortable. Despites all its strengths, its record as a fighting ship is very poor. Its engines produce low amounts of thrusts, its combat record was poor, and it was considered joke of a cruiser during the Flower Wars.

-WEAPONS AND TECHNOLOGY.
Kinetic Energy Weapons- The oldest known form weaponry is the KEW. Propelling a small shaped projectile by the means of chemical or magnetic properties has become an art unto itself. KEWs are commonly seen as small arms such as guns. Chemical based KEWs are impervious to EMP but magnetic KEWs are not. Larger versions of KEWs such as those using magnets to propel projectiles or often used as anti-ship weapons to hurl large projectiles, but their tactical usefulness is somewhat limited because they fly in a straight line. This weaponry type excels at short, medium and sometimes, long range combat.

Laser Weaponry- Utilizing a high power energy source, this weapon uses such power to project an accurate, destructive beam of laser that burns/melts clean into any solid object. However, it is a notoriously fragile weapon, requiring its users to constantly maintain laser emitter components to get optimal efficiently. Although it exists in the forms of rifles (lazrifle), chaotic battlefield conditions prevents any rifle or lasergun (lazgun) to be used in its full combat ability and EMP can fry its emitters. However, if used on a ship, the power of laser weaponry dominates in short to medium range combat.

Plasma Weaponry- Elements exist in 4 forms, descending, Solids, liquids, gases, and plasma. A highly ionized gas of positive ions and electrons, plasma weaponry is used not because it looks good but rather a superheated mass of deadly proportions. It can defeat most types of armor and makes a deadly battlefield weapon. Drawbacks in this type include weapons components being susceptible to EMP, short range, and a danger to the user (radiation).

Beam Cannons- Only warships of the ISAN and the Imperial Navy are equipped with beam cannons, the principal anti-ship weapon of a close quarters fight. An offshoot of laser weapons technology, these cannons bring enormous destructive power, slashing hulls open or blowing a hole clean through via a concentrated bean lance. The drawbacks are that these weapons’ destructive power dissipates as the range to a target increases and beam cannons only has a 60 degree firing angle. ISAN and the Imperial Navy instruct their ships of fire such cannons at medium ranges if they get caught in a fight and selectively place their cannons to ensure max coverage. If by any chance that a beam is fired faster or longer than it supposed to, the cannon will melt.

Magnetic Accelerator Cannon (MAC gun)- Despite its redundant name, the MAC gun is an powerful weapon, utilizing magnet coils to hurl unguided projectiles 2/3 times of the speed of sound. A MAC is a long device, often taking up 3/4s of the ship’s length. There are a variety of ammunition MAC guns can fire such as solid “heavy” rounds, small explosive rounds or shredder rounds, which can punch a hole in any ship. Drawbacks of this weapon are its reliance of ammunition and fragility of its magnetic coil, and EMP. An variant of this weapon, the Super MAC Gun is deployed as planetary defense.

Ship positions-A ship needs a crew and crew needs to specific duties to help maintain the ship in tip top shape.

- Captain- Self-explanatory. (Already Taken. Don’t bother asking to be one).

- First Mate- Second in command, take charge when the captain is either not present or unable to assume the role. If the Captain is dead, then the first mate is captain by default.

-Ship’s Pilot- A person who can pilot a large and ungainly ship with ease.

- Navigator- A person who is in charge of the navigation and direction of the ship during travels.

- Tactical Officer/Head of Security- Self-explanatory.

- Doctor- Self-explanatory

-Cook- Self-explanatory

-Head Engineer- Self-explanatory

-Science Officer- A person with vast knowledge of anything scientific or knows how to apply science or recognize it.

- Crewmember- A person(s) who works inside a ship, tasked with multiple responsibilities to keeping the ship in shape and assisting anyone with their duties.

Gender- Female
Appearance- Tall girl, wearing a doctor suit. Allways wears a neclace with a big giant ruby and a ring with a giant Diamond. Nobody knows why.
Position desired- Doctor.
Personality- Tends to back off a little when she is the theme of conversation, however when Venus is the theme of conversation she allways defends her.
Skills- Can use a Sniper and is one of the best Sharpshooters.
History- She was an Orphan that was adopted by the richest guy in the world. One day she met Isis and they are now married

Appearance- Not so tall Girl. Wears something like a Doctor's suit however a little old. Wears the same ring has Isis.
Position desired- Science Officer
Personality- Allways has the last word and beleives that she is allways right.
Skills- Toghether with Isis she made a Camouflage Unit that allows her to remain invisible for some time. She can also use a Laser sword.
History- She grew in the streets. Her father was a failed scientist that teached everything to his daughter. She was having some problems with money when she met Isis. Isis payed all the bills and a year after that they married.

Apperance - 5ft 3" in height, hunched, all of his body is covered by hair , appears to be Llama fur, mumbles and grumbles frequently, built this very ship out of scrap metal when he was but a young man into the fine vessel it is today, lives in a room deep into the ship, an area unbenownsted to the other crew members bar none, he spends his time deep in his workshop building automota, never revealing them to the shipmates, he barely comes out and when he does, simply goes to the canteen, orders a curry, three bowls of milk, a small bale of straw, and cat food. all the shipmates know him as 'dibbler' 'dibs' or 'dibbl'n'.
postion desired - head engineer
personality - tends to be a quiet, secluded person, hard to involve into a conversation, mostly talks jibberish and halfway through sentences frequently stops and leaves.Likes to stare at cogs turning and listens to classical music and old tapes of Terry Wogan. Most people see him as a mutant, for bearing the appearance of a Llama and having lived for so long.
Skills - skilled engineer, has been crafting vehicles and machines for many years.
History - had a normal history, quiet life in country side, nothing interesting to be told. Until about his early 30's when the alteran empire attacked, is said that he himself had a minor role in assembling the Blood Chrystanthemum, although even he knows not much of it. When he was in his late 30's he was struck by some unknown disease called 'fisenia' which rendered the carriers muscles useless over time, while he could still walk, he consulted Venus' great grand father, who even though he understood not the diesease he had a 'cure' for the ailment, unfotunately neither this so called 'cure' was known much of, it rendered him hunched, mentally deranged, and with the appearance of a llama, including this his lifespan was dramatically increased, ever since he has been good friends with all of venus' relatives.

Appearance - Llama, can only be understood by dibdob, but despite this fact he is a very skilled navigator with a mental disorder where if he sees something, even only on pictures, he can track it with ease, whereas not much was known of the Blood Chrysanthemum apart from what dibdob could tell of stories about how it had been plotted ever since the start of the war, and how it soared through the skies, the most beautiful vessel known to man, it glimmered as it fled from the shattered planet, torn and strewn, and left to rot and crumbled under it's own people, it was a diamond in the rough, yet this may only be stories it is beleived he is the only hope of locating the Chrysanthemum.

Skills - cannot do much, yet his skills in navigation stand in the stead of any other neccesary skills.
History - was simply a Llama born on the farm of dibdob, yet was able to think like a human, and navigate like a human.

Personality- generally childish except when it comes to things that are important to him
Skills- excellent laser swordsmanship along with extreme resourcefulness (able to use whats around him)
History- underappreciated for his genius because of his age and how he acts he was kicked out of most high grade colleges when he was 15 and since than been going from ship to ship as there tactical officer until he found this one

Name- Raymond Lenning
Age- 38
Gender- Male
Appearance- At 5’ 10”, this man is just in the beginning stages of getting white hair.
Position desired- he’s the Captain of the ship. He OWNS the ship.

Personality- Mostly happy go lucky, Raymond Lenning is very warm and friendly off duty but when he is on duty, he turns into a man of action. Sometimes when a certain event or an object of peculiar design passes in front of Raymond that can trigger a “trauma switch” in which his demeanor completely changes. He also has small perks such as worrying too much, especially when the ship is in dock resupplying. He can fuss over many different things at once from weapons to toilet paper.

Skills- He is an avid marksman, able to handle many different types of weapons with ease as well as handy with mechanical equipment and stuff. He also possesses a masterful grip of the skill of conning and negotiating when it comes down to dealing with people or with the authorities not familiar with him.

History- Formerly an ISA Major with the SOC. Raymond Lenning joined the ISA several years ago to fulfill a desire to doing justice. When he was young, his sister, Ariana (16), was attacked by thugs and was killed when she tried to fight back. Vowing revenge, he and his brother, Albert joined the ISA hoping to catch those responsible. A few years later, Raymond was part of a anti-terrorist division that gained infamy over an incident in which hundreds of civilians were killed. Raymond, with his brother and many others in the unit, disgusted by the ISA’s handling of the crisis, resigned in protest. From that moment on, Raymond has become a freelancer ship captain, doing jobs at a high bidder. On the topic on how he recovered and rebuilt the All Under Heaven, he won’t explain fully, only saying that he “found it floating around…that’s all…”.

Personality- Tends to back off a little when she is the theme of conversation, however when Venus is the theme of conversation she allways defends her. Skills- Can use a Sniper and is one of the best Sharpshooters. History- She was an Orphan that was adopted by the richest guy in the world. One day she met Isis and they are now married Name- Venus Age- 33 Gender- Female Appearance- Not so tall Girl. Wears something like a Doctor's suit however a little old. Wears the same ring has Isis. Position desired- Science Officer Personality- Allways has the last word and beleives that she is allways right. Skills- Toghether with Isis she made a Camouflage Unit that allows her to remain invisible for some time. She can also use a Laser sword. History- She grew in the streets. Her father was a failed scientist that teached everything to his daughter. She was having some problems with money when she met Isis. Isis payed all the bills and a year after that they married. dibdob Zone-Anime King/Queen of Anime Mortals - Level 7 Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: im in ur pc, st33ling ur anim3 Posts: 552 My Mood: Blog Entries: 3 Rep Power: 0 Credits: 6,679	Character sheet - dibdob Name - dibdob Age - 120 Gender - male Apperance - 5ft 3" in height, hunched, all of his body is covered by hair , appears to be Llama fur, mumbles and grumbles frequently, built this very ship out of scrap metal when he was but a young man into the fine vessel it is today, lives in a room deep into the ship, an area unbenownsted to the other crew members bar none, he spends his time deep in his workshop building automota, never revealing them to the shipmates, he barely comes out and when he does, simply goes to the canteen, orders a curry, three bowls of milk, a small bale of straw, and cat food. all the shipmates know him as 'dibbler' 'dibs' or 'dibbl'n'. postion desired - head engineer personality - tends to be a quiet, secluded person, hard to involve into a conversation, mostly talks jibberish and halfway through sentences frequently stops and leaves.Likes to stare at cogs turning and listens to classical music and old tapes of Terry Wogan. Most people see him as a mutant, for bearing the appearance of a Llama and having lived for so long. Skills - skilled engineer, has been crafting vehicles and machines for many years. History - had a normal history, quiet life in country side, nothing interesting to be told. Until about his early 30's when the alteran empire attacked, is said that he himself had a minor role in assembling the Blood Chrystanthemum, although even he knows not much of it. When he was in his late 30's he was struck by some unknown disease called 'fisenia' which rendered the carriers muscles useless over time, while he could still walk, he consulted Venus' great grand father, who even though he understood not the diesease he had a 'cure' for the ailment, unfotunately neither this so called 'cure' was known much of, it rendered him hunched, mentally deranged, and with the appearance of a llama, including this his lifespan was dramatically increased, ever since he has been good friends with all of venus' relatives. Name - Winston Age - 28 Gender - male Appearance - Llama, can only be understood by dibdob, but despite this fact he is a very skilled navigator with a mental disorder where if he sees something, even only on pictures, he can track it with ease, whereas not much was known of the Blood Chrysanthemum apart from what dibdob could tell of stories about how it had been plotted ever since the start of the war, and how it soared through the skies, the most beautiful vessel known to man, it glimmered as it fled from the shattered planet, torn and strewn, and left to rot and crumbled under it's own people, it was a diamond in the rough, yet this may only be stories it is beleived he is the only hope of locating the Chrysanthemum. Position desired - Navigator Skills - cannot do much, yet his skills in navigation stand in the stead of any other neccesary skills. History - was simply a Llama born on the farm of dibdob, yet was able to think like a human, and navigate like a human. (Already Taken. Don’t bother asking to be one). - First Mate- Second in command, take charge when the captain is either not present or unable to assume the role. If the Captain is dead, then the first mate is captain by default. -Ship’s Pilot- A person who can pilot a large and ungainly ship with ease. - Navigator- A person who is in charge of the navigation and direction of the ship during travels. - Tactical Officer/Head of Security- Self-explanatory. - Doctor- Self-explanatory -Cook- Self-explanatory -Head Engineer- Self-explanatory -Science Officer- A person with vast knowledge of anything scientific or knows how to apply science or recognize it. - Crewmember- A person(s) who works inside a ship, tasked with multiple responsibilities to keeping the ship in shape and assisting anyone with their duties.

Name- Raymond Lenning Age- 38 Gender- Male Appearance- At 5’ 10”, this man is just in the beginning stages of getting white hair. Position desired- he’s the Captain of the ship. He OWNS the ship. Personality- Mostly happy go lucky, Raymond Lenning is very warm and friendly off duty but when he is on duty, he turns into a man of action. Sometimes when a certain event or an object of peculiar design passes in front of Raymond that can trigger a “trauma switch” in which his demeanor completely changes. He also has small perks such as worrying too much, especially when the ship is in dock resupplying. He can fuss over many different things at once from weapons to toilet paper. Skills- He is an avid marksman, able to handle many different types of weapons with ease as well as handy with mechanical equipment and stuff. He also possesses a masterful grip of the skill of conning and negotiating when it comes down to dealing with people or with the authorities not familiar with him. History- Formerly an ISA Major with the SOC. Raymond Lenning joined the ISA several years ago to fulfill a desire to doing justice. When he was young, his sister, Ariana (16), was attacked by thugs and was killed when she tried to fight back. Vowing revenge, he and his brother, Albert joined the ISA hoping to catch those responsible. A few years later, Raymond was part of a anti-terrorist division that gained infamy over an incident in which hundreds of civilians were killed. Raymond, with his brother and many others in the unit, disgusted by the ISA’s handling of the crisis, resigned in protest. From that moment on, Raymond has become a freelancer ship captain, doing jobs at a high bidder.
