Well this is kind of a review but not really.

To start off the first few episodes of it were fairly boring. The story was slow to start off and much of the scenes didn't have much significance. As episodes 8-10 reared things started to spice up a bit. More action was happening as well as more backdrop to what the story was about.

But the best part of the series was during episodes 25-40. These episodes showed some really great examples of character development. Especially when Renton left and abandoned the Gecko State, the scenes happening during that time really brought out some of the characters well.

What really pissed me off about this series was the last 10 episodes. Most of them seem to be dragged along and showed no signs of importance. It seemed the directors felt a mere need to have 50 episodes. These last 10 episodes could've been cramped up into one or two episodes. Seeing as if most of the scenes in the final episodes near the end weren't significant and didn't attribute to the series very well.

What I really enjoyed about this series was the "character development" and "music".
The height of the character development occurred half way through the season. Many of the characters were going through struggles and had many conflicts to face therefore making the series much more interesting and appealing.
The music is some of the best I've heard in any anime. It really created great atmosphere and scenes with most of the episodes. Especially the time that they lived in, the music was fit perfectly for it.

Like I said before, the ending pretty much sucked. But, this didn't ruin the series totally. Too many things were just thrown into the end of the story without proper background information.

What really mad the ending bad was that it was extremely predictable. The army siding with the Gecko State, Renton becoming a Corralling, and etc. The few episodes felt dragged out, as if they were putting out more episodes just to kill your time. Oh yeah, you didn't get to see the aftermath nor what happens to everyone after the incident which was also a letdown.

One thing that also ruined the series was the amount of love stories. The intertwining of these made it hard to focus on one. It would've been alright with two love stories, but with around 5-6 happening at once, viewers will not be too sure which one shows more significance towards the story(even though Eureka and Renton were the main story)

Overall, it was an enjoyable series. Only to be marred by one too many love stories and a crappy ending, Eureka 7 still shines over other series. Great character development and good music made this anime stand out from the others I've watched.

Well, I just had to get this out of my system after watching 50 episodes(one of the longest series I've watched before).

BTW has anyone seen the 51th episode, Ray-Out?

THERES A 51th EPISODE learn something new everyday huh anyway i dont get distracted by the many love stories at all and i think it just adds to the story but we all have our own opinions i guess

At least I think there is a 51th Episode called ray=out or something like that, I'm still not sure yet.

BTW, is it true, during the 50th Final Episode of E7 that Adult Swim cut off like 5 important minutes of the ending? Because I saw the ending on Adult Swim...

Well I haven't finished this anime yet ^^' , but according to the AnimeNewsNetwork there are only 50 episodes :\

Maybe has something to do with the movie ? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0765491/ ? Honestly I don't know..

but there is a short semi-ep. 51 it doesnt have graphics tho. its only voice

i was searching online too and one of japanese blog had the announcement up as well…

but there some people where criticizing that it would be worse… hopefully it wouldnt make Eureka 7 itself bad… -- i mean the reputation
