The main characters are adolescent girls and their "brothers" who look perfectly like normal children and their siblings. The "brothers", notwithstandingly being no relatives of the girls, are strongly attached by the girls, who actually are skillful assassins and capable of killing people with bare hand.

Latest technological innovations are the producers them, but their delicate hearts are far from invisible. Having the extraordinary duty of clean the obstacles to the Government but the half-human girls become more and more tender with time. Reborn from the hell of their childhood, their new short life are also extraordinary struggles, not only in the battles.

The melancholy side of gunslinger girls come from miserable childhood of Henrietta, Rico, Angelica,...- their names. They come to life again, but no longer are normal children, and are fully aware of that. And you will find more interesting side of the anime as you know more of the diverse personalities of theirs.

I think the animation is nearly perfect, the general air of the story is developed nicely. Not many dark-humour animes can be so elegant. The OSTs are really touching. As for the sub, Seichi did a refined job. "Gunslinger Girl" is still my favourite. I've watched and rewatched it for 4 times. I hope you can enjoy your effort of watching "Gunslinger Girl".
