Well, I finally got around to watching this anime. I got a bit put off after watching the first episode a few months ago and then picked it up now and found it very enjoyable.

The first episode isn't really needed..
Well most of you have most probably seen it, but here's my review anyway.
Well the main character is called Guts, he's a mercenary and he's very skilled. First scene you see him kill a power knight bla bla. He then get's ambushed by 4-5 people trying to steal him money :P , the leader of these people defeats him and this is where the story starts. He isn't killed, he barely survives and as the leader has already seen his skill, he asks him to join their group of mercenaries.

Of course this doesn't all go smoothly has he's already killed a few of them while protecting himself :P.

This is where the story starts, this bloody epic war anime, that reminds me a lot of ARES.

The leader of the group of merc (Group is called the band of the hawks) , called Griffith has one objective.. he wants to have his own kingdom o_O. Ok so it sounds kinda cheesy xD This is where the story starts.

I give Berserk 8/10

This is a bloody anime, with excellent battle scenes, it's a bit old and the first episode is a bit misleading but it's a lot of fun to watch .
Why only 8/10 , because I didn't like the ending >_>

Ya Berserk is a nice anime, ending did sorta suck.. Never really thought of it being like Ares, but then I watched it way before I ever read Ares and if you think about it, it sorta does.. Great anime over all, must watch for someone who likes this kind of anime(and that for some reason hasn't seen it).

Thanks for making me wish for an Ares anime again, sorta pushed that out of my mind, and now it's back..

I totally hated this anime i mean when u compare it to its manga the manga is waaaaaaaay beter than the anime in every way i give this anime 4/10 if u liked the anime go read the manga its a must read.

Well I found the anime and manga to be nearly the same.. 2 characters were taken out [Skull knight and the fairy] but otherwise it's the same thing.

WTF!!! It is not!!!! The anime really sicks compared to the manga, just go and see the drawings, they're something awesome...

The story in the last numbers is going slow, but I hope there will be some plot twist, I really enjoyed this manga, i read it again and again since 2000

I love the manga version of Berserk~
So many stuff~
