Like Geezer said, there are more people who want revenge than people who turn around. Only the people that would turn themselves in would turn around. The others are most likely to repeat their offense.

However some states ( in teh US ) are repelling the right to executuion, which i find to be somewhat insulting.

Well, its not liek the world will be rid of murderers.

People will more than likely fall in line to thsoe positions, which makes me question how such a thing can be fix.

They must show people absolute punishment. They must execute this law worldwide and show potential criminals whats in for them.

A good idea, but most countries don't have the balls to implement something like that.

Its a conflict that has lasted throughout the ages -_- I'm sure that pusnishment similar to that have existed in teh past ( ie Egypt, Roman Society ), but its "evolved" into what we ahve today >

Depending on what kind of crimes (for example, passionate crimes or I don't know how it is said), I definitely support death penalty

While I support the death penalty, I think the system needs refurbishing. On average, an execution actually costs more then life imprisonment due to the massive amount of time spent in court over the constant appeals and such, as well as the fact that executions happen very slowly, in my experience from America.

I don't entirely support the death penalty, nor do I reject it. So far, it has been an effective means of lowering the crime rate since the term "fear" has been imposed to control like that of some religions. Yeah sure, it's nice to strike fear into people's hearts by chopping of a rapist's head...but still, the fact that we were judging the fate of another human being is rather cruel. I believe it's not right for humans to judge others and rob them off of their lives, even if the criminal WAS 100% proven to be such. Eitherway, we can't do anything about it. Something as huge as the government is REALLY hard to change, so I guess it really can't be helped. >__>
