What is your opinion about the current situation in Israel and the Middle East.

I'm from Israel, and I think that when I'm 21-22 years old I'll get out of here. I don't want to die over other people wars.

Well I'll be honest. Even though things have gotten better, I think it's chaos.

I understand both sides of the story, but I'm more inclined to sympathize with the Palestinians. Don't get me wrong, this doesn't mean I think that one side is 'right' and the other is 'wrong'. I believe that erm how do you call it again.. well you are forced to go into the army soon, so I'm guessing that's when you're around 21-22 ? Normally what most people do is to go and 'study' abroad while they are supposed to be doing their military duty.

I honestly don't see a solution to the whole Israeli-Arab problem unless some other influential countries come a lot and do something that works in the LONG term, (I.e Bill Clinton did do something, but it was stopped by George Bush right afterwards)

actually 21-22 is after you get out of the military. I'm not going to avoid the regular military service. Just the supplement military service :P (I think thats what it's called in English, when once in a while you are called to serve for 2-4 weeks).

The military service doesn't bother me so much since I won't go to a combat unit/fighting unit (again, I don't know how it is called in English). And if I continue with my course of studies there is a good chance the army will fund my study.


I also don't see a solution to this conflict, that's why I think I'll have to leave as soon as I can.
