Ok, well for those that saw we were offline.. we got hacked .. anyways, I won't go into the details for multiple reasons. But ZA has been restored, the backup is 3 days old.

AniTube is restored.. the backup is 2 weeks old .. Well that's where most of time will be held up..


Sorry people.. all the forum posts are gone and all the work you all did on ZA is gone .. . Please re add it .

That's it from me.. i'm preparing myself for a long night

This time it wasn't a problem on the server side, seems someone exploited one of the scripts installed on the server.. I think I've found the problem, we also put some extra measures up just in case.

Well .. what can I say.. We're too popular -_- ?

Yeah, well the hoster found out about this before me [as it was 1 AM when this happened in my time] , he tried to fix the problem, but they still got through ZA.. now some viruses etc was put on ZA. The only solution was to completley wipe the server. So everything was deleted and a backup was restored [the one we have right now] , now this is the backup that I used when we moved server 3 days ago, some things weren't configured, only the main site could connect to the database, while the forum wasn't configured at all.. so couldn't connect to the database >> didn't work.

I saw we got hacked when I woke up, but I didn't have the time to go and research it all.. I didn't really know what was going on, so I switched us offline until I knew what was going on :/ . Then when I came back home, I restored everything etc..

At the moment i'm readding all the updates for aniTube.. around 400 episodes.. 250 done.

Its a pain, but it happens when a site is becoming popular.

Also its essential as the more it happens now the more holes you can fix so that later on it will happen less.

At least it sounds like your hoster is awake, unlike some i know.
