I'm going to break this down into several sections, so, try to bare with me.

Forum
Alright, as most of you are aware, we just switched from Simple Machines Forum to vBulletin. With the switch came a LOT of updates, as well as a few "annoying issues". Most of which have been fixed.

Some changes, for now, are final, such as the usernames, for now, display names are limited to the main site. This is unavoidable, to change it would require that I, myself, go into each and every file on the server to search for every single Structured Query Language (SQL) query for access to the database around the users table. After finding all those queries, I'd have to then edit them to factor in an extra column for the display name. After that, I'd have to go through every file again for any Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) access to those queries and then edit those to display the contents of the display name column, if a display name exists, or the username, if a display name does not exist.

Now, you can view a basic list of things that have been reported and fixed in the Ideas/Problems section of the forum, but many more things have been done than listed there. I have a total of 78 e-mails with reports of issues with the new forum system which I've corrected over the last 72 hours, and I don't know how anyone got my e-mail address...*looks at Shattered_Crystal suspeciously*

In one of those e-mails, it was brought to my attention that the stats of the site were not accurate, and upon looking at it all myself, it was true. There are som older member accounts that were removed from the database, not sure why, but that threw off the member count, as well as posts that had been deleted, and threads, throwing them off. For those that have been with us long enough should remember that the Spam and Off Topic sections were VERY popular when they first opened with the post count activated. A month went by before we disabled it, but several people got a tremendously large post count from it...*glares at Shattered_Crystal*

Now, I've spent the better 99/100 of the last 6 hours working on the ranks and promotions on the board, simple, but time consuming...EVERYONE HAS STARS NOW!!! Well...almost...newly registered members are not automatically put into the promotion system, I'm working on that, but everyone else is in it!

If you are a staff member, it doesn't matter your position, you have the EXACT same star count and color. Moderators of the forum have the same count as other staff members, but their color is different to indicate their position on the forum. Super Moderators have the same count, but a different color. Administrators, well, just look at my count and color. :P

Donators, you have the SAME count as the staff and have a color all your own. Special ranked members, you have one count less than the staff, but share the colors of staff members, as rated by me. I gave each special rank a different color, no specific order.

Lastly, regular members, you have the old rank system from SMF, each rank requires the EXACT same post count as before. I'll make another thread, pinned and closed, with the entire rank structure, a description of each rank, and the requirements of each rank.

I am well aware that ther are still minor issues with the templates, this is unavoidable, at the moment. The templates are of the lowest priority at this time.

Having said that, during the addition of the ranks and promotions, transferring all the members to their appropriate rank caused a few issues in the system because I had to do it manually. I believe I have fixed all these issues. They included, but were not limited to: Members listed as banned, Members listed as a rank they arn't, Staff unable to access functions they should. and Admin listed as regular members. If ANY of these issues exist for your account, contact me at angel_of_nothingness@hotmail.com. THIS IS NOT FOR YOU TO BUG ME OR SPAM ME!!! If I find out someone is the cause of that, they WILL be banne from the site FOR LIFE!!!



Site
Mimi has now a full-fledged administrator on the main site. I am STRONGLY considering giving your Super Administrator, but I'm leaning away from that idea. :P

The new script for the main site is coming along VERY nicely. A copy of our database structure has been given to the scriptor programming it, do not fear for your account information, no data was given. With the structure, he will begin to integrate his script and the systems of the site together, hopefully, eliminating all the Joomla components, which are quite annoying...for me at least.

When we finally get the new script, changes to the site will GREATLY slow down. Furthermore, for those of you that don't like all the template changes, we will be able to keep the old templates and add new ones. Beyond that, our options will be GREATLY increased for expansion of the site, content, features, etc.



Staff
Alright, here is one of the important parts, WE NEED HELP!!!

The main focus is graphic artists, uploaders, and link checkers. We have 528 animes and 155 mangas listed with links for downloads. Not only do we SERIOUSLY need to have ALL those links checked, we need uploaders to upload what is missing as well as continue to grow our database.

If you are interested in joining us, I will have a Staff Application thread opened. You can post your application for whatever position you wish to apply for and we, the administrators (including Shattered_Crystal), will consider your application.
