Ok well I've been thinking about this [more like dreaming, for the last few months] on making automating ZA, e.g making a script, that'll index our links, make it more user friendly, so that anyone can add links directly and basically make our life easier and hopefully we'll just have to moderate it [and upload of course ^^]

Well while talking to a friend / coder / anime site admin , he said he may be able to make one [of course not for free :P] , he's going to give me a quote tommorow and from that i'll decide whether to do it or not. [highly probable that i will]

The script will most probably have the following functions :

Capabilities of adding anime to it easily --> So when you add anime, you add it in a list, and then the link generator automatically assigns episode numbers, you say what format it is [drop down menu] etc.. , also anyone can add, then it's moderated by a moderator ^^
auto link checks for megaupload & rapidshare. Search function, syncronization to SMF, auto display updates on main page. Also i'm thinking of making it so we may restrict certain areas to ppl who post or something like that.

Anyways what do you guys think ? I still haven't gotten a quote from him, but I've got quite a bit of money reserved for this [my personal money :P]

I lean both ways on this one. I don't mind going into things and adding them. I just hope no errors occur here eh?

Don't know how it's going to look like actually. I'm afraid of seeing a lot of spams / not well made stuff and for the most important repeating like for example for School Days about 10 category's each one added by another person.

make a test to see how it look like. Of course we need to test on the post has links inside it too. And I dont like an idea everybody can add directly in to page, what servant said is true. It could be nice if all the link go into 1 place where only mod can see in 1 page, that could be helpful right now.

I don't think that we have any way to "test" it actually since admin has to pay for making it firstly. So paying for something we won't use is quite pointless especially if it's his personal money.

So in other words I don't think its needed? I personally fear the spam, and just adding them yourself isn't that hard . Keep money admin :/

there should be someone that manages it 24/7, reading logs so people won't abuse it... and to avoid mischief....
