Here's a list of functions & concepts I'm going to send to him tonight, i'll let you guys have a look :P , so that way we can modify and make it better -- I've just copy pasted this, so it does look a bit funny at times :P

How to add anime – Must be user friendly

Firstly, the script will ask, which anime the person wants to add, Anime / manga / anime osts / other , I’ll just go through what it would be like for anime. [list of anime] and if the anime isn’t there, then they have the chance of adding a new anime
how many episodes the person wants to add and episode numbers , so eps 1 to 3 [drop down menu]

Then they put the links in the episode order. [lets just say these are 3 different links, all in order]

Page loads up

It’ll show
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7ISRA4Q7  episode 1
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7ISRA4Q7  episode 2
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7ISRA4Q7  episode 3
It’ll then ask for the format, and approximate file size, so there will be some sort of list .. so <40mb , >60mb etc.. and file type : OGM, MKV, RM/RMVB, AVI , WMV and also if the person wants to give credits on these links & is there a password of these links.

Also, the person who added these links should be able to add new links to the list [E.g. if it’s ongoing or just being uploaded once a week or something]

When adding a new anime, there will be a box for image URLs, a box for descriptions and also a box asking for the number of episodes.

So the list of anime will be fairly siimple. , on the front page of my site ,it’ll have a list of updates, [for 2 days] and also a separate page for ALL the updates ever made.


Also if possible the User registration is done via SMF & is synchronized with the script

Ok so a page of anime would look something like this

ANIME NAME
DESCRIPTION

Available formats & mirrors [URLS]
E.g : AVI[~170mb] episodes 1-2 [MEGAUPLOAD]
RM [~40mb] episodes 1-5 [RAPIDSHARE]
MKV [~120mb] episodes 3-5 [MEDIAFIRE]
And when they click on that it would load the links up. Now depending on whether the episode names [of each episode of the anime] have been given or not, this page will vary.

If episode names are given , then it would be
Episode 01 – EPISODE NAME  I can get the episode names from the AnimeNewsNetwork
Episode 02 – EPISODE NAME

If episode names aren’t given , then it would just be :
Episode 01 etc..


For Manga it would just be

Format : ZIP/ RAR
Also some people upload in chapters instead of volumes, so it’ll ask if they are uploading in chapters / volumes.


For Anime OSTs,
Just keep it easy to edit :/ sometimes there are singles, other times there are albums
For other , it’ll just input the links into the place with a title & description / image ~ optional

Optional things [things that just came to my mind ^_^]

Force posting, or something like that. [can be switched off & post limit changed]
Possibly sync the script with joomla ?
4 access levels, so unregistered username [who can’t access the links] , registered username [who can] , staff access level [moderator lvl] & admin access level.

Needless to say anything...

for now, push the thing aside. We need to keep our server running first ( no point in getting a server automated if its gonna be deleted in like a month :/)

That's a lot of money , once upon a time I did, but then we kept failing donation targets and I spent money on scrpts >_>
