Well I just saw this in the Da-Forums about the site. I don't know if this is so kind of April Fool's just or if its serious.

To All Members.

We have some very sad news to announce to you all. Da-Anime.Org is closing down.

It has been a week since the main have been offline and it has something to do with our server.

Warzone was sent an email by the webhost’s administrator, two weeks ago, announcing that the traffic at da-anime.org was too high and that we were far over our monthly bandwidth allowance. We were given a week’s time to either upgrade our account or take down either the main or the forums. Warzone chose to keep the forum in the mean time since it had less visitors and it was the only way to communicate with you all. He searched for another webhost who would be accepting our traffic load, with convenient security, for the same price - accepting a warez website as us. All of such reliable webhost are way too expensive, we can barely pay our monthly bills for lack of donations, so getting another account as good as the previous one is somehow minimal.

We are forbidden to bring the main up again and the last back up in my possession dates back to the 20th January 2008 (and not March as I formally stated). We have no clue when we will be able to get another webhost nor do we (admins) have the time to repost two months worth of articles.

Usercash barely pays our fees and until now, warzone is the only one paying the bills.

His decision is: closing the account, thus bringing down all da-anime, da-forums and da-warez. It has been three years since the creation of DA-community and he wants to move to other things and concentrate in his studies.

In a desperate move, Haynes added a donation button to the forums yesterday and it wasn’t even clicked once. We will not be accepting any donations for it is too late - Warzone has made up his mind and YongQing (aka SadistiX) is far away in his military service.

We are sorry to announce this so abruptly but none of the active administrators or council members were aware of this until yesterday and we couldn’t give you the actual feedback of what was really going on.

The site will be closing in around 24-48hrs. from now. Uploaders please back-up all your links during this time interval. Let's just cross our fingers and hope for the best.

We are sorry about this situation. It had been somehow a good run for us. It has been a pleasure meeting and knowing you all.

..i still can't believe the number of ppl who still dling that fake movie

Da-anime's page is still down, but yeah it was an april fool's joke.

Bleach? Who would have believed that one people... C'mon. DVDs not even out yet. People do DVDrips when they sub movies, not TC or VC shots. Wait until September people. Also, They spelled Rebellion Wrong. How are you going to dl something spelled so horribly wrong?

Ok well I did prepare a joke, but many things happened and we didn't end up doing it.

I doubt that Da anime will close down, it is an aprils fools joke, I know a lot about how it's run and I can say confidently that they won't close.

I enjoyed reading google's april fools day jokes, they were a lot of fun but blizzard's one was a big failure.

BBC's april fools day joke was so well done that a couple of newspapers believed it and started going on about flying penguins

on their front page !!

I woulda actually played WoW if they added the Bard... Woulda been cool. Taurens in space was pretty cool though.

I preferred the space taurens one

last years Blzzard joke was crap.

There was a video of the space tauren's pwning all the a base in a matter of seconds

then you could tell it was an Aprils fools joke.

The ultimate joke though, was by IGN, the "Zelda the movie" it was so professionally done that hundreds of people got fooled
