I can understand DV, that points out the conundrum or contradiction of English based languages, they can be very hard to learn well; for people of who aren't 'born' into English.
At the same time it is very easy to understand even broken, tpyo'd, very basic or Englese/Japlish/(insert countries borrowed version of..) English.

After 20 months living in Finland, speaking a mixture of basic Finnish and simple English, I had to spend a month with some family in Switzerland relearning how to speak 'normal' English, so that when I moved back ere', I didn't speak broken English like Kimi Räikkönen did when he first went to F1 (Raikoinen {Ray-coy-nen} doesn't sound like Räikkönen {Rake-Ken-en}).
Even Finnish 4 year olds could speak and understand more than me, though body language, extremely basic English got the message across- my ex gf's youngest cousin was 4.
Though most other people could converse with me, the older they got, the less likely they were too attempt communication - either cos' they were shy of speaking bad English/raping my language; as they call it, or were very proud of there county and didn't wish to talk to the forigner - unless they had drank lots, I had too with them.

So long as DV or anyone else for that matter, doesn't talk in TXT speak, we can all understand him.

Sorry for my long post, some of which might have been repeated many many months ago - my memory can't remember all I have typed.
