Don't jump to conclusions over the released [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and think that they are truely stopping in January of this coming year. They have always pulled "jokes" like this over and over and have never stopped. This could just be another joke of theirs, but also could be true. It is too hard to tell at this time, due to all the stupid things they have pulled before.

It really sounds like it and looks like it due to amount said and all, but never know with them. It can sound like they are truely gonna drop it this time, but I wouldn't bet on it(even with true companies(Viz, etc..) not liking fan sub people, but..).

I am not saying it is a joke, because at this time I don't know, it is too hard to tell. So, don't take my word and believe that they will not, I could be wrong, too hard to tell at this time..

Bad joke

Ya basically all their "jokes" are bad.. But it doesn't stop them repeating the "We quit subbing" one.. They've done that so many times it's getting old and stupid now.

BUT IF ITS TRUE what we do?

There is more than 1 group subbing Naruto. Just Dattebayo is the best out of them all. It's not like we wouldn't get it anymore, just lose the better quality of Dattebayo and only have the others. Not that all the others are bad(well one was really bad..), Just Dattebayo was the best out of all.

you know I don't think they are joking around. this is a shock event we're talking about. I read the announcement and it was pretty well prepared for a joke

so does that mean we won't be able to watch naruto normally ?

Nope, if it does turn out to not be a joke, as stated before, there are other fan subbing groups out there who are subbing Naruto and ones that probably could pick up Naruto where DB left off. Just the quality of the subbing and all wouldn't probably be the same.

Sure it's well wrote, long, well done, etc, but that still doesn't mean it's not a joke. Could be one that was just long and well wrote. But, I'm not saying it isn't, just hoping it's not and don't want people to jump to conclusions over it and start complaining in a bunch of posts.

It's NOT a joke..for sure. They have explained this way too nicely even for there jokes. I have also checked out other companies like Funimation and they have already started doing that with other anime.
