I´m really sad to announce that a friend of mine, the one that showed me the world of mango & animu, started with the first Swedish-released one;

DRAGON BALL! I loved it back then, but now I detest it ._.

I agree, but there was no other : D

But, sad enough, a quite good manga to introduce new readers too...Not that hard to get, easy story and not advanced art at all.

The first manga I read was Doraemon! I guess its Doraemon for most people who read manga when they are little.(I didn't realise that was manga at first)

The first manga I bought myself was actually Ranma 1/2! Still love it and I have the full collection of it! (^v^)
