o___o hmmmm... Out of all the recommendations, I've only seen Saikano the Live Action movie.. I have no clue about the others.


For a mature manga, with little jokes, I would recommend Haou Airen. It's not 'dark', but it's romance with action. Sad? I'm not too sure..

how about "threads of time" i just finshed it very mature AND depressing manga (or rather manhwa) try it has nice art too u can find also on [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] ....say

Dunno if you tried it or not already but the manga "Vagabond" is a good one. Also I recommend trying Sidooh....both are samurai related

Full Metal Alchemist, though it has comedy on the side but the plot will really take you on. very serious themes are discuss such as politics and military control, human sin and the value of a life.

thanks for all the tips everyone. now i dont have to get a life for another year or so ^^

i myself am reading blade of the immortal and battle royale right now. finished lament of the lamb/hitsuji no uta not too long ago. theyre all nice and mature and everything, but i wanna finish them so i can get into your tips!
