Yeah i don't know why people like Beck i mean 1st of all lets talk about the story if i remember it's about a loser who have no talent and joins this band called beck which is named after a dog with...er a Frankenstein look and gets to know how to play a guitar and guess what he has a great voice! 2ndlly the art sucks in my opinion and also the characters,the manga tried to be unique but i think it doesn't live to the huge ratings the people at mangaupdates.com are giving it if u didn't like the 1st 3 volumes or so trust me it wont get better just find another manga and don't waste your time with this one.
