Sure link checking is hard... but why apply for the job if you think its annoying? Some of our link checkers have already dissapeared, or just stopped doing their jobs :/

Well, like I said, we will make it part of the conversion process. After that, it'll be easier to do. If I doa script, which I probably will, I'll also do a reverse to remove the HTML, leaving just the links, allowing them to be easily pasted into a checker.

Checking Links is easy. I'll do it for free and without an official title.

Well if you can it would be helpful, at the moment only admins have checked links as no one else is bothered to check them. (There is a link checker rank :O)

Well AoN is coding a system that'll help us organize the links easier.

Even so, It's kind of hard since most uploading sites have a splash page now that they change constantly so a script might be hard. So a script can't check for it being up, but maybe a link gone down. Like the Words: Inactivity, Abuse, Illegal, Not Found, Error. Not so much "unavailable" since I know Mediafire, Megauploads and Zshare sometimes do maintenance that disables files some times. I can go through Megauploads pretty quickly with premium, but Rapidshare is a little harder since sometimes links are protected by Link Protector a lot so you don't know the status until after the splash page.

Hey I'll just make a suggestion for a few of the anime on the site. Some are really a mess. For example Naruto Shippuuden is so messed up because there are random eps all over the place at different hosts.
If someone can straighten it out I'll get all the eps up on Megaupload.

Problem right now is that I have no clue what eps are there and what aren't

Edit: What I mean is that there are two lists of links in realmedia and both lists are at rapidshare. If you can straighten things out I can get you links for megaupload.

Naruto isn't the only one like that, Bleach is a mess as well, and many others that I havn't been to or can't name off the top of my head. That is why we are working to make it all uniform, but, again, there are just too many issues with the variations on how everyone does it to fix up a script to do it all for us, in other words, we need to do every single page, manually, meaning every single link, to include link checking. A rather tiresom process.

As of right now, a fixed format has been made, and we will begin editing the pages in order of their default appearance (Alphabetically). Before we do this we are making little tweaks to the final format design, once it is done, we will implement it on all pages with links, Anime, Manga, and OSTs.

About the idea of a link checker there is a proxy site which has a link checker for their proxies [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

I guess you could copy the script and just add it to the main page and make it so the person who wants to download the file can just check through that.

BTW: I don't even know if its possible to do what I said, since I I'm not into programming, so don't go skitz at me

The thing is, anything that is added BEFORE the download page ( on MU or RS ) won't really change the fact that you could still easily rip the link via address bar. Sooner or later we'll have or DDL system set up again, which should make things make a little more sense.


There already is a system being thought up for the download section in general, when it takes effect is a huge question to me though :/
