Alright, this is my second attempt at making a sig. Although I love the one I have right now (propz to beefjerky) I want to learn how to make my own. Hope you all like it, give me feedback/ advice.

Nice render, interesting bg, name is readable(nice thing to have, too many make it unreadable..), looks nice to me..

Could be the part that it's Elfen Lied based, but I like it. Elfen Lied = great anime.

Sure it's not needed always, but some kind of border could be nice. Not all I've made have them, but makes them look sorta nicer sometimes.

Not bad. I like it.
Personally I like to blend the render for my sigs.
Like my current sig. I just like how it looks blended.

Thats great though the BG matches the renders hair which is pretty cool

Hmm.. sure blending is nice, but I like how the render on his sticks out a little. Makes it looks nicer(but that's my opinion, people have different views on things). I would have also made it a little longer(to add in a right side around the render) and did the bg the same. Not much, but sorta beats have it right on the edge like that..

As said, looks nice as is though.

Thanks for the opinions. How do I put a border around the picture? I like how yours have borders. Btw, do you guys know any good sites for brushes?

Deviantart has some pretty good brushes. I suggest pickin up a few different grunge and abstract brushes. The BG of my current sig was done with the ICE Abstract brushes.

YOu make a border by turing it into a full picture and then go to edit stroke and use center(don't know what outside and inside do) then use a color u like and put it on

Or if you want a subtle border you can use emboss or bevel on the outside edges. I looks nice that way cuz it isnt a visible line but it still gives the edges something special

Try not to place here whole head in the sig...

It limits you a lot to what you can do compo + efx wise...k?
