So far I've been through two years of college and I have come to the conclusion that highschool was useless. Highschool did nothing to prepare me for college. Also the material in highschool seemed a little censored, history to be precise, by leaving a lot of the facts out. My rhetoric professor proved this when he told us to forget all the stupid little grammar rules from highschool

well, I dont think so... nah nah nah.... in Asia, HS is important. But in the US.... nah nah nah, hard to say.

I think its useful in order to make you appreciate college. Everyday I look back and I'm like man high school sucked compared to this!

Well High School is the highest level of education i went to - and still going to -. So imma not really sure if university is better than HS, specially cuz I'm only starting grade 10 after this summer :P

My highschool is a gigantic joke... My town is basically full of people who pay their ways into colleges so the "graduation/joining a college" rate is a bit bogus :/

No high schools do NOT prepare you for college at all.... unless you end up going from a good HS to a crap College. This only applies for the US though ( asian, particularly Hong Kong and Japan, schools are a lot more stricter and actually require you to do some work.... if you didn't already know that )

Good looks like all the older people agree with me Also college is a million times better than highschool. I love being able to sleep, watch anime, or play video games between classes or instead of class if I wanted to (I never skip classes by the way)

I dont know. I would say that my highschool is preparing me pretty well for college. I'm a senior this fall and my school taught me enough to get a 33 on my ACT (Out of 36 for anybody not from the US) and I dont think I would have gotten that with out Highschool. Plus my school is one of the more liberal and uncensored schools in the Chicago-land area if not all Illinois. So I really cant complain about my High School.

hmm I can see a clear difference here lol, all the college students say highschool is useless and all the highschool students don't really know. I had a little trouble adjusting to college, because I never had to study in highschool (had an A average), so when I got to college I didn't know how to study effectively.

It pretty much is useless. Most of the information that you learn in high school usually doesn't attribute to what you're going to be learning about in college.

High school is pretty much there just to kill your time and make sure you don't get into trouble. Why do you think all the drop outs are usually getting into trouble?
