Default how to play MKV HD files
As the title states I'm having trouble playing Hd mkv files so I'm ansking does any one have a codec or a media player to help me?

I've already tried vlc,core media,KMplayer,zoom player,and the classic windows player please help

Have you tried using K Lite Codec Pack? Use that with Media Player classic. You could also try GOM player. K Lite has most codecs in it.

please search for it, its somewhere here, but since you said please...

you need a decent media player like GOM, the audio codec "ffdshow" in CCCP combined community codec pack, and the video codec "CoreAVC" in some random codec packs(cccp don't have it, sorry)

configureGOM to use the two codecs mentioned ONLY and no other codec like its internal codecs and filters. and magically they play in best speed, except Code Geass S2's op of Eclipse ^_^ have fun!

I just used the normal windows media player classic for .mkv files..

.mkv in HD h264 format, the "highest" quality subs can give other than DVD quality and so normal players with normal codecs can't play them right

sometime it's depend on do you know how to change some option inside each codec (AC3, FFdshow, liva, etc....). That's why some ppl keep complaining about quality from MPC when they run HD. If you werent familiar with those, then just use Neuview cux it has ultra fushion turned on. ^^ remember 1 thing, all codec packages come with the same codecs hahahaha.

Neuview seems to have the best quality to me and its easy to adjust. Personally I find Zoom Player easiest to use though
