#LOTR: good movie, good effect.

It might be hard for ppl who "just" watch the movie to understand what's good about it. But it's different for some ppl who understand the story, who saw the meaning in actions, and words.... and especially for ppl who learned "film".

"I dont understand what other see but i can't".... nah nah, some story need you read the book first, and some need your experiences. And as I said somewhere before, after you had watched a movie or anime, read some good review in details ^^.

EX: some ppl like Jazz, some ppl can't stand it. Some ppl called picasso a genius, some said his pictures are crap. Nah nah nah, art.

Wow that is true and i totally agree with u, dvtq. Some movies like LOTR, need an insight on the story before u actually watch the movie.

well have to agree on that ppl have different tastes...

the problem is that I watched the movie first, I would read the book but meh not interested anymore ...
and I'm not gonna go read some "reviews", that's Aho (to ME)...
you want MY Review "It SUCKS" ...

plus I don't like to watch movies made out of my fav books, I don't need to explain WHY, you should probably know if you ever read the books and watched the movies based on them ...

Also the best Scific in my opinion is Aliens

I was about to say I realy liked some of those movies you had up there...heh. Now a movie that didn't deserve anything in my eyes & it probley did win something, was them stupid imature movies like (American Pie, & Super Bad, which like the name was a Super Bad movie) Altho the part with the cops was *alittle* funny.

How abt American Beauty? It was a great movie to watch, but did it deserve an oscar. Of course Kevin Spacey won the best actor, which he totally deserved. But for best picture, The matrix or The insider wud hve been a better choice. Wat say guys?

@So Me: I told you to read some review not to see what other ppl praise it, but to see what good in it for each scene. There is no movie which was good 100%. And as I said, for some ppl who dont have any experiemnce in certain situation, that will help alot. Nah, so sorry.

@Neo_Genesis: nah nah nah, I dont know how to answer your question fairly because Oscar wasnt fair from the start ^^. Matrix was messed up with colors, Insider was plain in some angle... AB also have its problem which i can't remember due to specific technique name but they were chosen mostly because of, just my opinion, "closed face", colors, some more.

What ! Lord of the rings deserved the oscar awards !! It was the best epic movie I've seenm I compare it to other epics such as the matrix ^^ .

I mean there hasn't been a film that good in ages, loads of junk gets produced and seeing films like LOTR is what makes watching movies good. If it isn't your genre of film, then fine, but if you watch other films like it (eragon comes to mind, was a load of crap.. the book is great though ) you'll see that no other film is at the same level as LOTR. =D

Anways back to the subject :

Gangs of New York didn't deserve an oscar.
