I must agree that Titanic was the first movie that sprang to my mind as totally undeserving of any oscar whatsoever! I attempted to watch the movie twice, TWICE I tell you, and I still haven't seen that infamous sex scene everyone is always drooling about (you know with the hand on the steamy car window) because I couldn't stay awake until then...

.... "undeserving of any oscar whatsoever", nah nah nah. I thought that Titanic deserved best picture, music, support and director. Not so sure abou best actress, but if we compare it with other movie at that time, Kate was the most gorgeous.

Well, if you felt sleepy then just dont watch it, guess this is not your type of movie ^^.

The so called "steamy sex scene" is just bullshit you'll be more entertained by watching the craplicous MTV.

But Titanic did have one good part, when the boat was all sinking and a guy fall over-board and hit the propeller, that gave me lulz.

@cry4blood : i bet that scene was the only reason it was overhyped among guys lol and BTW i've never saw it but as @the17 said it doesnt seem worth seeing the movie.

ya i too feel Titanic although it was gud i dnt think it deserved an oscar. LA confidential which released the same year cud hve been a much better choice, and no doubt Kim Basinger deserved the best actress award rather than Kate Winslet (:P)

Agree Titanic was way over rated, definitly doesn't deserve any oscar ...
Also ... The Lord of the Rings is so Undeserving as well ...
I don't know about you, but I really did not enjoy all that crap, I mean sure the effects were ... WoW O.O
but the story was so damn boring to me, so I decided not to even watch the second one "The Two Towers" but I watched it with some friends ...
well it did put me to sleep, one of my friends too ...
but all that oscars O.o'
I just don't understand what do ppl see in it that I don't ...

i agree with u So Me lord of the ring is just too long(like 3 hours long) and has too many characters which is counfusing but i liked the 1st movie but didnt like neither the 2 towers or the return of the king(which i think is undesreving of an oscar and is full of cliche's) but u know ppl have differint views and diffirent taste's.

Nah, Lord of the rings definitely deserved Oscars, maybe not dat many. But i dont think it was undeserving an all. Lord of the rings triology is by far the best fantasy movi ever made (acc to me). And the final part The Return of the King was jus fantastic, a perfect ending to the greatest triology made (again acc to me ^_^)
