is it just me or is anime being overtaken by the sterotypical anime such as naruto yu-gi-ho etc etc and people who dont really know what anime is think all anime is like that and is retarded everyone except the people who actually watch it think its really stupid ahh if only they could see the light

yes it is. But anime is unwatchable for kids under 11 cuz its so damn bloody and such. so they need anime like Naruto, and stuff. I wouldn't call Yu-Gi-Oh stereotypical cuz its still famous along bigger kids and even adults 0.0 But yes it is. Some horrible anime are G Gundam Force, B-da mon, D.I.C.E. These were 'anime' that were aired dubbed in Canada. Thats how i they're so horrible. Some very nice anime are Code Geass, Death Note, Gurran Luggan, Berserk, Monster, Bleach (without fillers it is intense!)

well i realise this im saying that everyone has a different opinion about each anime so sorry if i offended anyone im just saying think about a person who already is thinking i dont like anime and watchs naruto its going to look pretty stupid as opposed to a open minded person im just saying that a lot of people get the wrong impression about anime

Let them think what they want. I can not speak for them since I am an otaku^^. We vary in our opinions and such is the nature of man. Each and everyone of us has our own preferences and likings. I do agree with you since the world of anime is vast and is not limited to a few well-known titles^^.

I wouldn't say there's such a thing as stereotypical anime. People associate anime with series such as Naruto/Pokemon/Yu-gi-oh because it is well advertised. Anime is becoming much more widespread outside of Japan. Proof of this is the recent showing of the Death Note movie in America and the upcoming Bleach movie being shown in theaters as well.

Yeah i actually don't really like Naruto that much,
And i do see heaps of people misunderstanding anime and what it is its really quite irritating and people just don't listen to your explaination... I HATE THEM!!! Lol.

i thought naruto was pretty good, but then again i didnt watch the gay ass english dub crap they try to pass off as a weekday cartoon. it seems no matter how good an anime is they can easily butcher it by putting it on as a kids cartoon like the one piece dub (shudders)

lots of people (like me) misunderstood anime, but when you start watching real anime, or subbed japanese anime(for people that don't speak japanese) you'd understand what anime realy is, or something like that

and it really pisses me off that people think anime is childish and criticize you for it

Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon is indeed childish but it's a masterpiece compared to some other series like
B-daman
Duel Masters
Bay Blade
and I personally don't hate Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon, but they're crap compared to what anime really are and gives people a wrong understanding of it

about Naruto, it might give some bad opinion about anime since it isn't mature
but it's good generally and enjoyable than most hyped series like Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon

Yah i agree the english dub shows are crap they edit so much crap out for example in the naruto movie one they edit a crap load out! and they change what they say so it doesn't make sence. if the Japanese show is to mature for little kids don't change it just let the older people enjoy it!!!
