Zone Anime forum - Anime , Manga and GFX online community

This is a pretty good community of anime/manga fans and I think it would be great if we had our own IRC Channel (none exists even unofficially as far as I know). A Channel on a Server like FreeNode would be good

I've brought up this idea to the staff a very long time ago; the majority of them dislike the idea.

Whats the point of having IRC if the shoutbox was inactive too? Although it would be more clear about whos online...

The Shoutbox just isn't the same, who sits with the shoutbox page open? With IRC you can tell when someone sends a reply and switch to that window. I think this is something that needs to be given a chance (other anime IRC chans are thriving after all) and I think people should vote (poll at the top) so that we can see what the community thinks as a whole. If everyone hates IRC, fine but atleast that will be a conclusive answer.

What if we actually put in our ongoing anime in there as well...of course we`ll need way more staff members to do this, but it`ll help out...
