every one, you may have gotten tired of me posting polls.

But for a good reason,
I just recently got back to programing, and received a copy of Director from my work. This is a authoring program for Shockwave apps.

As of now I have about 20% of a level editor done, about 25 tiles done, I Hope I can get it so its a DL client with a simple text file for game information so as not to require much bandwidth.

I am open to as much help as I can get. . . Im doing this in between work and studying.

To keep this with as wide a user base as possible
The Required screen size is 1024 x 768

As of right now It will be 2d as I do not have the skills and programs to do 3d. As of the Map editor I can still switch it to 3d but that would entail an extra week or more for me to learn how to handle 3d in director.

Estimated time:
Map editor - Some time this summer
Server side- still pending but as Director has built in multiplayer support, I want to keep the Server usage to a minimum- I plan on it using about as much bandwidth as ZA's shout box.

Game-- By Xmas I hope.

Now I just chose bleach because Im a fan of the Manga and Anime. But I am making it modular so I can quickly swap out the bleach theme for some other:

I can not give you a copy of Director 11, nor will I point out where you might obtain it. Sorry, but My work is ok if I use the programs for other uses but would be upset if I was giving out our copy. . Sorry But I still have bills to pay, and things to buy.

I can obtain it anyways xD, i'll just ask a friend who's visiting india to pick up a copy for 50-100Rs (around 1-2 euro..)

If you need hosting, I can give you some ;P , it looks awesome. I could also do some GFX stuff in the weekend for an hour or so when I get free time. It could be really awesome !

Now to explain some of the game mechanics:


One this will not be a traditional style of RPG:

There Really are no true levels: : )

Here is the stat sheet


Soul: <-- Base stat for the Character
Health: Hit points
Strength: Base for Physical Abilities /Skills
Endurance: How much abilities/ skills tax your Character, and how much damage you can shrug off.
Control: Your ability to control abilities/ skills
Energy: How much power you have to use for abilities and skills
Agility: How agile you are, like dexterity in all the RPGs
Speed: How Fast you move and you attack.
Awareness: how preceptive the character is

The Main stat is SOUL: This is The Base for all the other stats:

So if you had 1 in SOUL
and 1 in Strength ; Your Modified Score in Strength is 2 this goes for all the stats.

And there are no limits to the chart, it starts out with a base 1, except for Health and Power there base 10: Points of these are multiplied by 10
so at the start you would have 1 point in Health and one point in power, plus the one point in Soul, So It would be 2 points in both health and Power, but because 2 hit points and 2 points of power would not be very fun. The Stat is multiplied by 10 so You start with 20 hit points and 20 power points,

The Player never sees numbers just a self adjusting chart. This also how the player can examine Other players and Hollows. But it will only show based on the Players Own Sheet so if all you see are solid bars you know they have more power than you, If the entire area is filled with the soul stat you are so out classed its not even worth trying to figure out how much stronger they are then you. .

Health and Power Start at 100 for max points while all the other stats max the graph at 10, once any stat breaks out of the graph the graph shifts to a new max graph.

Well shockwave is like flash but allows for more complex multiplayer style games.

Its Cross Platform Linux, Windows, and Mac.

Also handles date more efficiently than Flash, Also natively supports 3d unlike flash. Also better memory handling.

hmm sounds interesting, though out of curiosity how will it not be a 'traditional RPG' (as it kinda looks like it atm , then again you haven't revealed much >.< Reveal more ^^
