Default Any of you have weird phobia?
So, are you or anyone you know have weird phobia? I have this weird phobia, I'm afraid of staircases. I'm not scared of height. In fact, I quite like it. But I'm absolutely terrified of staircases. If I happen to stumble upon one, I always walk slowly behind my friends while gripping tightly on the railing.

I especially afraid of the circular one. Stairways like this is hell and these two is my absolute nightmare (especially the latter)

Straight staircases is okay most of the time, as long as it's wide and open like this or this
I think the wider it is, the more I won't react.


...Why can't all staircases in the world be like this

stair cases? never heard of that one, but ok. i dont have any really "weird" phobias, but im kinda freaked out by old people. no offense to them, but they just kinda make me uneasy.

Well it's Climacophobia- Fear of stairs, climbing, or of falling downstairs. (if that is truely what Sumore was talking about, fear of staircases..)

As for me, I don't really have a weird phobia.. Don't think there's anything that I'm really scared of...

Not really afraid, but i can`t handle screeches. When i hear any 2 metals clang together, i shiver. Thus i cannot eat dinner on a metal plate with a metal fork/spoon.

I got this Astraphobia, or the fear of thunderstorms.
I had couple of bad experiencesses with thunderstorms. and if I'm not at home under the covers, with my headphones on playing V loud music ...
I'm NOT OK ...
can't go outside of the house.
And if it strikes when I'm away from home, that's a complete disaster -.-'

Wow, I never even know that my phobia has a name. Guess I always thought it was so weird that no one else would have it (since everyone I know until now seems to think so...)

I know circular staircases, like those two, would be really annoying, esp if you're wearing high heels :P

hmm... I don't really think I have any weird phobias...

Oh... using the brake of the front wheel of my bicicle... I had an accident like 10 years ago ... so I only use the rear brake, even when I'm going really fast
