Default R.I.P. Toonami

Well this is about a month late but I've been busy lately. That is besides the point however. On September 20, 2008 all anime fans from America lost a good friend. Toonami was removed from the Cartoon Network lineup after 11 and a half years of entertaining and introducing people to Anime. They got me and many others around my age into anime. It aired the dubbed versions of many popular anime such as DragonBall, DragonBall Z, DragonBall GT, Yu Yu Hakusho, Gundam Wing, Cyborg 009, Blue Sub No. 6, Gundam 0079, G Gundam, the first season of Gundam SEED (season 2 never fully aired due to audience dropoff post 9/11), The Gundam movies, Zoids, Card Captor Sakura, .hack//sign, Sailor Moon, Naruto, Outlaw Star, and yes even the chibi anime that we know as Hamtaro.

So pay your tribute here by stating all of your favorite memories; from TOM to your favorite shows. Or just mention the cool stuff.

And if you miss it this site has a bunch of montages that were aired in Toonami, including the final broadcast montage. It can be found here: Toonami Digital Arsenal

"So, until we meet again, stay gold. Bang"-Tom in his final broadcast.

Yeah totally sucks Toonami is officially down but they never really showed much anymore anyways. It was destined to fall because of it's inactivity and crappy shows lately.

O' well, still remember waiting for Gundam Wing, DBZ, Outlaw Star to show at like 5 P.M., that was the good stuff back then.

Ya they were good back in the old days, but now they didn't really show much that was great.. I like Naruto and all, but dubbed is just bad... Still sucks that they are like gone, but as beefjerky said they didn't really show anything good really anymore.. Would have sucked a lot more if they were showing something decent during their end, but they moved onto somewhat stupid shows which made it not suck as much.

All listed by you were ones that I really first started watching due to toonami, which in turn was basically part of the reason why I got into anime. It'll will always suck that it is gone now, but atleast they didn't disappear while showing something good.

:cry:Toonami was good in the beginning. I still remember bringing my plate in front of the TV at 8pm to watch DBZ...good days. SEED was also awesome dubbed. Hamtaro just killed it -_-'" Sad they're gone though.
