There are subtleties within the update like if you are on a wirleless network your computer will find black-hole-access points where it hides itself by deleting unnecessary packages. It makes things run slightly faster, and there are less dumb internet explorer errors, but unless you are a hacker whiz or somethin like that you wont find anything major.

lol, service pack is just a name to make it sounds cool. It is just update and update. Some ppl used to ask this question when we upgrade from sp1 to sp2... what's the differences ?

SP3 is mainly just a lot of security updates and a lot of patches for bugs etc. That's it. It adds no new major functionality etc.
