Everyone who join here is definitely an anime fan. So, I guess that many of us loves drawing. (However, I may be wrong)

Anyway, I love drawing. I started drawing when I was 14. Actually at 13 but I gave up after a short while. Restarted after watching Naruto. His quote keeps sticking in my head. 'Never Give Up' . I draw the anime type.

I got better now and I am still finding ways to improve. I love drawing because it seems almost like a miracle that just mere lines can make something look alive. Also, looking at the finished product leaves me very satisfied. (but maybe not when my expectations were too high) Seeing yourself improve also makes one very happy and feeling more confident. So, I think it is a good thing. When I just started, I feel like ripping the paper but its a first step anyway...

Okay, what about you all? Do you love drawing? If yes, tell me when you started and why you love it. Also, what type is it(anime,backgrounds,sketches,etc...)

I love drawing. Its fun to do and a nice way to relax. I started when I was probably 7 years old with stick figures. I like drawing random stuff like; 3D figures, plants, or when I am bored I draw things that are around me.

I like drawing but I suck too much at traditional art(drawing on paper, painting, etc.)
So that's why I do digital art, but I still suck at that too, so I might as well give it a try w/ a tablet, once I get one that is.

Well, a graphics tablet isn't that easy to use. Its not just like ordinary pencil and paper. But it is really good anyway.

Haven't mastered using it smoothly.(But I also don't really know how to use photoshop nicely...hahaha)

I like to draw too, i have drawn before but never drawn for real, even when i got a program named macromedia(adobe) flash, i mostly used it for short animations and games. I only recently started to draw, you can see when, its the same time when i signed up on deviantart after that i got more experience with the real drawing since i wanted it, before i joined it i have also started to watch Anime, Anime is the reason and the turning point in why i like Anime or Drawing at all, because of Anime and because it means very very much to me i started to draw to be able to create something that can impress people, learn em something new, help em... ^^

Well, therefore i draw in Anime/Manga style, i like to color, edit, sketch(lineart), copy(not tracing) and make full drawings from a scratch too. ^^

So there you go, hope you enjoyed my story. ^^

i like drawing/sketching things, if its infront of me i can copy it down on to paper. But i can't draw things from the top of my head still @_@
still a photoshop newbie, so my digital work ain't that spectacular.

i like to draw traditional art cause i am a noob at digital art. i can't really draw things from my head mostly i need a reference to draw with. i've been drawing since i was little.

It's great that all of you love art! I will get better too. I'm kinda getting the hang with Photoshop. Just started with the line art and colouring. Anyone has any software recommendations for drawing digitally? Other than Photoshop...Brushes don't come out really well for linearts....
