Well as some of you know, I was greatly affected by hurricane katrina which hit the New Orleans, U.S. on August 28th 2005. Tomorrow will be the 3 year anniversary of that date and we have rebuilt our homes and some of our city. Unfortunately another hurricane is approaching the city and will wipe it out again. Forcasters aren't positive that it will hit but the projected paths leads straight towards us. It's expected to hit this monday so I might be homeless again. And now I'm waiting.....

hmm, that sucks..

Only hurricane I have any experience with is Hurricane Hugo back in '89.. And then I was only 3, so I don't remember all that much.. Even if both were close to the same catagory hurricanes, Hugo doesn't even compare to Katrina in damage and all.

that sucks man, Same as Rido for me the only hurricane I have had was a category 1 or 2 that the last 3 days of my families vacation to Florida one year. I cant imagine going through Katrina.

I hope your family as for your city wont be effect by this hurricane. NO has to endured the disaster so much, you guys dont deserve to face it one more time.

Thank you for your concerns everyone. But if this hurricane destroys everything again. I;m not coming back. I'll prolly move to Los Angeles with my sister. But for now the governor issued a state of emergency and now military police are all around the city again. This is familiar for me to be comfortable with.

The sad thing is, the new orlean tragedy was somethign that could've been avoided all together. But of course there are some "higher-ups" who are extremely selfish or just greedy. I won't say "good luck" because I doubt that would defer anything from happening. I cannot specifically relate to you as I've never experienced a storm of that caliber before, but I hope that all goes well, IE if you're "running" from teh storm or something.

But in all seriousness, I believe that you haven't moved because you're already aware of the dangers of your community ( storms, angry people ... ETC ). :P

Yea your right about the "higher ups", thats the result of having a democrat governor and republican president. But I know the dangers of living here and I came back because this is where I was born and raised and I didn't want to see the city suffer so I'm trying to help. But if this destroys everything, I'm NOT coming back again. F*ck that.

sad man...imma here complaining about the constant raining in the summer, and ur there surviving hurricanes...well all i cud say is to stay safe.

Well this might be my last post for a while, mandatory evacuation of the city and during the hurricane we won't have any power or internet. So I'll try and stay safe. Btw if anyone wants to see exactly what this hurricane looks like, here's a picture. That's the country Haiti underneath it.
