I'm multilingual. I have learned new languages sometimes by enrolling in a school, sometimes I learn just by hearing others use a certain language like when I'm traveling.

Agreed. Total immersion is the best, if possible. I know that when I went to Japan for a summer, I learned more Japanese than I did when I was simply studying it out of books and in a classroom. The environment in which you learn really matters!

I am not fluent in Japanese, since I was staying with a host family that knew some English, but I plan to become an expert Japanese-speaker! I am also going to learn Chinese. <--Both through the Rosetta Stone program (great for total immersion, fyi)

I can speak German.
