Needless to say anything...

Differences in MAC and Windows:

MAC :
POSITIVE
Is usually affordable
Has a decent amount of storage
Most college students use one
Has a grat virus protection

NEGATIVE
Is uncompatible with most games



WINDOWS:
POSITIVE
Probally teh most commonly used computer
Simple to use
Can suppport a variety of programs

Negative
All the viruses that are made usually target windows
Windows recovery is a pain in the ass



My opininion is taht windows is better when you are living in a house and have a job, but if you are in college you should get a MAC. It doesn't support that much stuff though :/

right... thats y mac sucked for me when i was 11... it only has specific games for it... stil like windows cause its easier to use and kinda more user friendly...

Meh, MAC doesnt have many advantages now that the MAC os is available on PCs Stick to PCs, if you want virus protection, get a decent anti virus program xD or use linux ;p

Nowaday,the different between Mac and PC is just the OS. But, the problem is why Mac is expensive, but all of its hardware are just half price if you compare them to the same price PC. And why with half price hardware, lot of ppl say that it works greater than PC, ther must be the reason ^^.

I just thinking most of the ppl who are using MAC, do they understand what really is computer ?? You buy MAC because it looks cool or because its power.

You know, I'm going to have a new computer and I'm thinking should build a PC or buy a MAC...

A MAC usually has a lot more protection, PC can be around the same. The PC can end up being a LOT more powerful if you custom build it and install linux. But that only applies if you understand how the pc works. My suggestion, get a PC, they are usually more affordable (desktop wise) and can be degraded/upgraded as you please as long as it is appliable to your motherboard. Its easier for you to use a PC, seriously .


Final solution:

MAC for Laptop (because its more affordable )

PC for desktop.

even better, get an intel based mac, and run bootcamp. native running windows on mac hardware whoot!

But in all seriousness, macintosh is a superior operating system. and (contrary to previous statements) windows is NOT easier to use. Mac OS X is built to be user friendly. most people just say that it's more difficult because they're used to windows. However, if said people would actually put a little bit of effort into trying something new, they'd see just how intuitive and simple the Macintosh experience is.

If you think windows is hard, you must be... well no... err.. whatever

I've also used Mac before, but I don't like them that much. A normal MAC is pretty stupid to me and running a "windows" version seems pretty pointless. It looks like a waste of time and money ( if u pay) to get the program, just get a windows Vista runs a lot better than a MAC and it has even greater protection cause its so new and no1's created a bunch of hardcore viruses for it yet.


Btw the best computer you can ever get is a custom one running linux, but thats harder to get if you are

A) Cheap
B) Stupid (comp wise)



Complete other note, its very VERY easy to crash windows pernamently, just pwn the registry
