God of War, one of the best action, adventure games ever created. Rated over 9 on every game site, and became a one of the Best Hits for PS2 in the first 4 months of release!

Graphics: 9/10
The graphics are some of the best for PS2. Considering that it's a fast paced game, the graphics are superb! Though there are a few blurs on some camera views.

Gameplay: 9/10
Again, just like the graphics, the gameplay is awesome! The moves are fast, and the combat system is crazy with over 30 moves that can be gained through leveling up. There are also weapons and Magic to fit you style as: slow but powerful move and vice versa.

Sound: 10/10
What can I say, but that there are no kinks or mistakes in anything audio. The voices are very appropriate with the characters. The lip syncing is perfect and the background music goes on flawlessly with the action and cut scenes.

Storyline: 8.5/10
The story is also superb! It's not the most compelling storyline in video game history, but it is so nicely put together that you would think it's perfect. The story is very satisfying, and doesn't leave the player with annoying cliffhangers. Of course, suspense is needed in a game which God of War clearly has, but there are games that's just annoying.

Playability: 7/10
God of War is only once in a lifetime game, that you would only play once. The puzzles and story gets boring when you already know what's going to happen. But because of the very, very challenging, yet achievable modes such as the hardest, God Mode, makes the game more addicting to finish, as it is something that you can boast about if you succeed.

Rating: Mature 17+ - Contains Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Nudity, Strong Language, Suggestive Themes. There is a reason for this:



Overall: Critic Score: 9.3/10 ~ Player Score 9.5/10 ~ My Score 9.7/10
It is definitely one of the games that you MUST have if you own a PS2 or PS3!

Similar Games: God of War 2, Devil May Cry 1/2/3/4, Shadow of the Colossus, Prince of Persia 1/2/3, Heavenly Sword.

Awards:

The Good: Every thing is awesome. It is above all game standards.

The Bad: It is not online, and it's only one player. It's kind of hard in my opinion to make a multi-player game when it only has one character. lol.

Bottom Line: First of all, it is recommended that you DO NOT PLAY IN FRONT OF YOUR PARENTS. But if you like any action, adventure games such as the one above, you will love this game!

it was made in 2005, also God of War 2 came out in May 2007 which I bought for $75 with tax. God of War, u can buy for $20 Canadian...

Hmm, well it's on the PSP, I was thinking of playing it, this has convinced me to play it. I don't have a PS2 , but the PSP graphics are fairly near the PS2 graphics so it'll do

this is one of the greatst games on the ps2 i have it's prequel on the psp it's called chains of oylmpus great game but too short and dont worry about the price for chains of olympus u can download it via bittorrent and put the game file in the iso folder u can download it from this link [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

I said 75$ WITH tax. Besides I bought it the first day it came out :P God of War: Chains of Olympus is the God of War 2 version on PSP. Also, you know how people keep arguing bout PS3 and 360? Well that's gonna end after God of War 3 comes out for PS3! I heard March 2009 is the release date!! And the game producers have said that game will obviously be in Blu-ray HD and with Sixaxis, but also that they'll try to make a cooperative mode!!
