well I found Final Fantasy tactics to be okay.

The best FF that I've played are FFVII and FFIX , I'd say overall FFIX is the best and in terms of gameplay FFVII is the best

If you don't like FF system games that much ( refering to the numbered ones ) then just try playing tatics. It has a completely different battle system than almost all of the games, and its still fun

My favorite is ofcours FF7 it was my first RPG that i played and i still play even now it's the best FF game i've played , as for FFXII i really didnt like it cause i like the old battle system the new system and the story plus the characters werent as great as the previos ff games .

Its out of VII and X. I think i'd go with X just because of the awesome cutscenes

The cut scenes was part of the reason i bought FFX
was watching my friend fight Sinspawn Gui (scorpion one)
and after he 'killed' it, the scene that followed i was like O_O.

The cutscenes in X is indeed awesome but in terms of music,story and gameplay FFVII rules all!

FF 7 real masterpiece. Nice lvl difficulty when you play for the first time (Ruby +Emerald without KOTR are nice two fights before main boss) and intresting story.
FF8 still have some good points but story is a bit less absorbing. And Squall is something new when it comes to main hero personalites (you want to kick his but sometimes but still its fresh) Battels are definetly too easy , even fight with Omega .
FF 9 is much better than part 8, have more quests, extra bosses and card game is much more fun than it was in ff8.
FFX looks realy nice even today, but it quite short, easy (hard to die ) and Dark Aeons +" Pancake" are artificial way to increase difficulty, Tidus looks like pussy ,Yuna is flat like a board , quest are misreable and story is simple and boring. Still its a good game but you need to compare it to rest of FF family.
FFXII... easy, way too easy, aeons are usless, and main hero looks more like a girl. Story is... damn its just to poor to call it storyline. Hope FF team still have some ideas. I didn't liked Chain system and license board. MAGE should be MAGE god dammit. Yea... FF could be little harder, like DDS.

at last someone who agrees with me that FFXII SUCK!

Na, XII was great. Most that say it sucks due how they couldn't get into how it changed a lot of how the games usually ran like the new battle system.. But, it was a great game, and will always sit as my favorite before VII. The changes that were done to the way things were done in the game, like the battle system, made it a really fun game to play.
