Zone-Anime Animaniac - Level 5
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Well just bought a Macbook Pro 17 Hd 2.6ghz 4gig ram. And was thinking about using bootcamp to install a windows partition for games. . . As a mac user my game selection is a little sparse to say the least.
So of the two which is a better platform for PC gaming Windows XP or Windows Vista? Thanks |

vista sucks over all, for everything, and certainly gaming. I'd stick to xp over vista. XP has been out for a good amount of time, so there's hardly, if any noticable ones, bugs for it, vista is full of them, and doesn't like a lot of games.

It depends on what game you're playing
![]() If its a new game, then you should definately go with Vista, but if its old go with XP ( old = Starcraft, Diablo II, etc) but personally I think Vista is crap, so I'd suggest you go with XP Besides, there aren't that many games that will show a huge amount of difference graphics wise while transfering between XP and Vista anyways. Its not like XP sucks anyways ![]()

you can run almost any game with XP
but it depends on how good is your video card, you should have one with at least 128 MB Video RAM for new games to work on your PC and if you wanna have it tested, to see if it meets the requirements of whatever game you wanna play, new or old take this test... ![]() Well, you can install the new directx on XP. Overall XP is more stable, but with a PC like that you might as well just put vista on :P |
