Pretty much correct Establish.

New = Vista and Old = XP, but as you said sooner or later we all need to update to vista. But right now its too buggy and lots of updates being made for it. I only wish didn't take up so much system memory to run it. >_< its crazy.

meh, sooner or later normal computers will be released with a base of 4-6 gigs of ram and around 500 gigs - 1 tera of hard drive space, so memory problems will be a thing of the past later

Already running 1.5 terrabytes 750gb x 2 harddrives, as well 3gb of ram. Not issue for me I just can't be bothered updating to Vista of yet due to its stableness with old games. Since was a few bugs with World of Warcraft on it for my friend I haven't gotten it because of that. I may get it sooner or later but not right now.

In the future our screens will be holograms lol;

nah, by what I've posted, I am only naming what will be the new standard for buying pre-assembled comps, more than likely anyways

I only have a 250 gig hard drive, but if i need more memory it won't be much of a proble to get more lol

i got a friend whos really into computers, upgrading all the time and stuff (rich brat bastard...^^). hes got his cpu clocked to like 4 ghz and stuff.. anyway he says XP ftw for two reason:
1 vista uses INSANELY much memory! right now im listening to music, using firefox and msn, and im using 46% of my 3GB memory. imagine adding the running of a game to this

2 DirectX 10 is overrated. vista uses so much memory the games will probably look worse on a computer running that OS anyway

im thinking about getting xp myself. the computer got shipped with vista -_-

I have 4gig of ram and even playing games at full graphics on vista dosn't even eat 1/4 of it.

Depends on what stuff you have with your vista. You can download Vista off Rapidshare and Megaupload that doesn't eat much of your ram. Windows vista super lite you can download and it has less then 200mb but still has all the files that you really need. I prefer Xp over Vista. There are always a way to make new games work on older systems. I'm running a vista shell on my Xp to fool everyone. Btw there are also ways to run Xp and Vista side by side. Seen a guild on another forums.
