They have no reason to be, since the programming of "memory" in the discs would cause several things.

1) It would cost more ( even if slightly ) to produce each disc

2) People who only have PSP for playing games may not see the point of having memory sticks either, so its more like devolution to DS

Personally, I'm disgusted with the DS because of how it looks, theres also the fact that the 2 screens are too tiny to enjoy vids on :/.

true...even though some of it's games are good...like Pokemon P&D. i want to buy a PSP mainly because :

1- i 'm getting a PS3 for my next Gen Console
2- i can watch my animes on it
3- i already have many PSP games *exactly more than 150 G.B*

Well Geezer,

1) The change is about a small file that is OS related. <-- Some of the New Open Firm wares allows Caching from games that are on the disk.. So Sony could do it to. ( why would it cost more?) form a programing prospective its not that hard to cache date on a separate memory location. It also improves battery life. .

2) ? ? Um how do they save? And as a Gamer if I was told that for 20$ more I could increases the speed that the games load by 60+ % and stop having pop up graphics I would jump at the chance. . Unless you are a fan of loading screens. . All you really need is around 50 - 100 megs free and 256 meg cards can be found for around 10-15$ I don't see this as a problem.

And why would you not use all the other functions of a PSP?

They ARE trying to maximize profits after all, so the selling of cards can cause the profit to rise a little, it can also encourage the purchases of larger cards, since it may give people the idea that they can store more than just save files on it.

its more of a control over people thing, they could care less about loading times.
