I agree with Raidodol, anime doesn't need ecchi to be great..(there's crap loads of great animes out there that aren't ecchi) Without it, it still is nothing like cartoons.

The only thing that basically sucks without the ecchi part is ecchi anime.. If you remove ecchi from most ecchi animes, they will basically be crap(not plot or not much of one, etc)...

i have to agree there
a lot of animes are great without ecchi or yuri /yaoi elemts

the thing is and will always be that with a bit of that it sells better at last
...that s what i think ...
