Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time

Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time for the PS2 is an amazing RPG. Personally one of the greatest RPGs ever. I loved the game even though it spanned 2 disks. Ive racked up around 75 hours of play on my one file its definitely one you can get into. But on to the review:

Graphics: 8/10
Were not talking PS3 quality, but it was definitely a heavy hitter when it came to in game graphics. It probably even bested FFX in the cut scene graphics which were amazing.

Gameplay: 7/10
Control can get a little annoying being that characters can get KO'd by HP or MP. You have an action bar which limits the amount of attacking you can do successively, but other than that it is a pretty streamlined battle system. Enemy encounters are avoidable because they are triggered by interaction with single enemies wandering on screen but avoiding battles is not advised because level advancement is key to doing well in the game.

Sound: 8/10
Good voice overs in game and amazing voice overs during cut scenes. It gets points of because of witty remarks made during battles and the end of battles. (they basically say the same things over and over again and most of the time its an obvious remark)

Storyline: 9.5/10
Its a little weird to get started but as the universe expands and more NPCs (non-playable-characters) and main characters are met the story starts to fall in place amazingly. Its actually very interesting. It gives you plenty of decisions for you to make such as the characters you chose for your party. The story is one of the best Ive every played through.

Playability: 9/10
You can play the game over and over. It has plenty of side-quests, bonus dungeons, and secret bosses that will kick your ass. Plenty of Mini-games keep you entertained but also unlock great items and weapons. A battle trophy system allows you to collect trophies for completing tasks in the game but you have to save the record every time you unlock a new trophy. A great feature is the inventor side quest. You can modify your items, weapons, armor, and accessories and even create new objects through the side-quest. You can even make money from your inventions. It is a great game to play and have fun.

Overall: 9/10
This game is amazing. If you like Final Fantasy or RPGs in general, this has to be one of the best. Characters are complex and evolving in personality and easily likable. I can guarantee that you will moderately enjoy this game.

you might want to add it has one of the more outrageous and well largest plot twists of any game ive played maybe just of any game of course im not going to tell you but let me just say it changes your entire view on the game great game alltogether worth checking out

Yeah that plot twist was totally unexepected it i didn't like it it kinda was a part of the game they didn't have to include

well i liked the game but there are somethings in the game i really didnt like:
1-the story it's wierd and unintresting to say the least .
2-the english voice overs were so annoying i had to cancle the voice option.
3-i didnt like the charecter's models.
but overall this is a good game that could've been far greater.
i give it 7/10 for the great battle system.

I agreed too, the only thing decent about this game was the battle system, but later in the game your guys can get too strong making the game boring
