Well, it has a lot of shrines and temples, it really depends which parts you go to, i went from Tokyo to little country towns like Hakone, which has the BEST hot springs in the whole of Japan It was really fun ^^
And i've been to the top of Tokyo tower, which, actually isn't that tall lmao xD but i guess back then it was.
BTW, if you ever go to i think it was Nakajima, WATCH OUT FOR THE DEERS !! it ate my friends railway pass...

I haven't been to Harajuku for a long time,
so I am not sure if they are still dressed up ....
But, friend of mine likes Visual fashion^^
He actually looks nice^^
