Since no one has mentioned it yet, Canvas 2
and NO, you don't need to watch Canvas 1, in fact the 1st is an OVA

and also I'm surprised why no one hasn't recommended "5cm Per Second" movie yet.

Important note: I haven't watched any of the above recommendations, just heard they are good, specially "5cm Per Second" I always hear good things about it.

Dacapo kinda out of reality for me, some scene were so unatural T^T so that I felt embarassing by myself

the classic one is My Goddess 1&2.... the best so far in my opinion..... hum hum, but it wasnt on our site though, lol, all because that Zanet gru gru

The best romance anime I saw I think is Suzuka, about a girl who loves sports and lost her boyfriend in an accident, while a new one keep chase her until he success, the process, storyline and OST is good, you should try it. Another Kimi ga Nozumo Eien. Gundam Seed has good romance story as well.

Suzuka has its awkward plot at the middle of the story, but that was a very good point of the whole series. Very close to teenager's feeling. I hoped they would do the art more carefully.
