Default Tales of Symphonia

Personal Notes: I think this game is definately one of the best I've ever played. It has a wonderfull battle system, graphics aren't too shabby, and the storyline isn't crap, for once. Characters are interesting too, and character developement is amazing.

Graphics: 6/10
Although the game is a bit old, the graphics are nothing to laugh at. Although the graphics are uncomparable to FF graphics, it is beautiful in its own simplisic way. Movie graphics however, are no different than in game graphics, which nukes down the rating quite a bit.

Gameplay: 9/10
This game is absolutely one of the best I've ever played. Although only Player 1 can control movement outside of battle, when a battle starts, 4 players can engage at the same time. Although the game can get pretty confusing navigation wise, as long as you remember to check synopsis and the map, you'll be fine. Movement across the continent in this game isn't exactly all that complicated either.

Sound: 7/10
Tales of Symphonia brings great voice-overs to the table. People's voices sound normal, unlike some other games. Sound effects are nicely done too; most of them match the situation that they're used in. However, some voices can tend to sound very strange coming from that character, and sometimes there is no talking at all.

Storyline: 7/10
Although the storyline seems a bit random at the start, it makes perfect sense near the end. It isn't exactly all that much of a unique plot, but its nicely put together enough so that you won't even notice that.

Playability: 8/10
A game you can play countless times over and over again. It's intricate battle system will leave curiosity in your mind as to how to create those special moves. Theres also the incredible multiplayer system that can allow up to 4 people to play the game at the same time. Although it starts off a bit annoying dealing with the camera angles, later on it just won't matter as much when you're deeply engrossed into the game.

Overall: 8/10
This game is absolutely great. I personally think its better than any of its "sequals", being any 'Tales of' game that was released after it. Although this game seems to be overshadowed a lot, if you were to play it, I'd almost guareentee you that you'd love it.
